Get to Know
The old Blyth House is where it all began, so it seemed appropriate to name the studio Blyth House Creations. It pays tribute to my heritage too. I find I come from a long line of talented people. My g.g.g.grandfather, A.A. Blyth, who sailed over from Scotland, was a carpenter and furniture maker. His son, W. V. Blyth was a furniture maker, architect and builder. W.V.'s daughter Sara Lee Blyth was a party planner before there was such a thing. It was said she could make a bouquet of flowers out of tissue paper that would rival the real thing! She also had a wonderfully green thumb and was known to create elaborately detailed "fairy scenes" out of natural things she found in the garden. And so, After a long career in Quality Engineering, I came home to the old Blyth House and to an opportunity to follow my dreams.
