Quick Blurb

When in doubt, paint it, preferably with bright colors.

Painting, fiddling with wire, spoiling the black lab, gardening, cooking, traveling, reading (which has been sadly neglected ever since the jewelry making bug bit me!)

Skills and Techniques

Painting tiny renderings of nature along with painting wood beads to match the minis. Bending wire to my will or maybe it's the other way around. The wire often has it's own ideas!

Get to Know

Drawing and painting has been part of my life as far back as I can remember.

In 2006, I discovered jewelry making and have been hooked since the fateful day I walked into the local bead shop. Not long after that, it occurred to me that perhaps the two loves could be combined.

The pendants used in my jewelry are tiny acrylic paintings I've painted on bone, wood or stone (most not larger than an American quarter) and are inspired by the things I encounter while going about my day. Each tiny painting tells a story that is limited only by the viewer's imagination.

Painted wooden beads complement the miniatures and wire is often incorporated into my work.

Besides the little paintings, I am fascinated with wire and can happily spend a day letting the wire take me where it decides to go. Copper is my preference as I love it's warm, rich color.

During the day, I work as a secretary at a small elementary school in the mountains of California. When I'm not creating at my workbench, I spend my time playing with the our black lab who loves to fetch her Kong and eat (not necessarily in that order!), cooking with my husband, taking a walk in the woods or puttering in the garden.
