Lake Tye Dye specializes in one of a kind "Tye Dye" created in the beautiful Pacific Northwest near Lake Tye.

I have many evolving interests, all surrounding Arts & Crafts of some type. My main love (even though I may not have as much time to work with it as I'd like...) is tie dye; primarily, children's tie dye. I am also moving into tie-dye for us bigger kids; you know, the one's with the 9 to 5 with hardly enough time to ourselves. I've been experimenting with rayon women's dresses using a Japanese Shibori technique that utilizes stitching to make intricate designs and the results are amazing! This isn't the traditional 70's tie-dye. I can't wait to begin making small lots and share them with you, here on ArtFire.

Other interests, well, you name it! Currently into photography but there is also: drawing, painting, stained glass, jewelry, crochet, knitting, rug-hooking, latch-hooking, cross-stitch, embroidery, quilting, sewing, costume making, miniatures, sculpture/beads (polymer clay). I'm even going to try my hand at wood-working!

Get to Know

Hi I am Patricia of Lake Tye Dye. Thank you for taking an interest in my one of a kind Tye Dyes. Why "Tye Dye"? Because my items are created near beautiful Lake Tye here in the Pacific Northwest. Dyeing is such a fun hobby...All the colors blend in surprising ways and you never really know exactly what you are going to get until you wash everything out. It's like Christmas! About my Tye Dyes: All of my items are made using Procion MX dyes which are Fiber Reactive. Fiber Reactive dyes bond to the fiber in such a way as to be absolutely permanent. There is no need to worry about your colors fading or bleeding. My items go through a minimum of two washings after dyeing.
