Get to Know

Welcome to my studio! All of my items are handmade by me from start to finish and are READY TO SHIP. I also take my own photos. My journey with design started when I was around age two: my mom found me completely engrossed in drawing a lovely design with a wet, red ribbon on the living room carpet. Years of crafting, and a background in beading, designing and sewing my own clothes (and most notably, the design and construction of dance costumes), have all led me on the path to making handbags. I scoured thrift stores and fabric stores for what I needed and thoroughly enjoyed the process of designing them. This is where my love of found objects began. I adore how they can be transformed into something entirely unique. I began selling my handbags at a purse kiosk in Cherry Creek Mall in 2004. My bags were displayed alongside the likes of designers such as Mary Frances. Some of my bags are designed with my own hand-designed fabrics or handmade embellishments of polymer clay. Creating with beautiful materials and items puts me in my happy place! I think carrying a beautiful handbag helps women be in their happy places too. Anni Leeza
