Get to Know

I started making soap in 1995 when I realized the one thing my three sisters and I had in common was our enjoyment of bath and body products. Scented products was something that would satisfy each of them and they wouldn't return it to the stores! They were quite the finicky group to shop for. Initially I started by purchasing product that I would scent. Eventually, I wanted to know exactly what was in my products and I began making my soaps and certain bath items from scratch. Some items I do still purchase in bulk and scent or add my own natural additives. In 1998 I retired from the US Army Reserves to allow me to invest all of my weekends to soapmaking. In 2000 I opened my first Bath and Body shop in downtown Fairfield. I remained opened until 2003. Being that I was still employed full-time it became very hard to work, keep house, make product and keep a store, but I did keep my webstore. This year, 2012 brings new aspirations as I plan my soon-to-be retirement from law enforcement. I will be able to focus all of my time towards my soapmaking and to creating skincare products. I am so looking forward to meeting new customers as well as reminiscing with past and current customers!
