Quick Blurb

My name is Barbara. I have been crafting most of my life. At first it was a hobby and later became a business.

I love to sew. I enjoy using different fabrics in a unique way. Since most of my business is catering to my customers, my items for sale have expanded with the imagination of my customers and my interpretation from that imagination.

Skills and Techniques

I have unusual plastic bag or grocery bag holders for sale. They have mostly animal bodies. The plastic bags are stored in the dress. I sell a bunny, pig, cow, giraffe, sheep, bear, cat, dog, gingerbread angel, Rageddy Anne, and a honey bee. I also do pieced apple and heart coasters, pieced placemats with napkins, unique cell phone cases, and paperback book covers. I have recently added microwave potato/corn bags, in two sizes, using various fabrics with fruits, vegetables, farm scenes, and roosters on them.

Get to Know

I taught for many years overseas with the Department of Defense Dependent Schools in Germany and Japan. I began crafting on a small scale while still teaching full-time. When I retired in 1994, I began selling my crafts in a small consignment store on the nearby American military base. In 2000, my husband and I moved to Japan, where I continued to create and sell my crafts at the consignment store on base and at small craft fairs. Business was going so well overseas, that I decided to continue the business after my husband retired in 2005 and we moved to Bellingham, Washington. We just moved to Everett, Washington in 2010 where I will continue to craft. Thus I have been perfecting my techniques for over ten years and can, therefore, guarantee that all my products are of the highest quaility and craftsmanship and can be enjoyed for years to come.
