Recently I've been receiving a large number of custom orders that have earned some  wonderful feedback and even more pleasing I'm currently working on additional orders from three of those clients.  Their comments have made me want to share with others how to release your inner designer to get a piece of jewelry that is as unique as you are.

Honestly, there's an incredibly talented designer in all of us that allows us to create in our homes, yards, clothing, hobbies, baking, etc.  Even for those who feel they are artistically challenged they can find their creativity unleashed with some simple guidance.  There are so many areas for your talent to be expressed but for the purpose of this blog we'll focus on jewelry and for those who either don't have the time to create what they want, don't want to invest in all the ancillary costs it takes for tools and materials or feel challenged in doing it on it their own.

Artfire and Etsy boast a large community of Self Representing Artists like me, many of who are willing to help you bring your ideas to life.  I never copy a design from another artist and other true artists will not either.  Like you, we are inspired by many things such as a photograph, a painting, nature (ocean, mountains, sky, weather, beach, etc.), a flower arrangement, a building, a stone, the colors in a pillow, etc.

I love custom orders. Some clients have specific ideas and other just offer a color or theme, such as Egyptian, harem, woodland fairy, sexy lingerie, pirate, time period such as 50's, 60's, Renaissance, etc. Here's a link to a listing of part of honeymoon trousseau, that was incredibly sexy and fun to create.

If you see an item an artist has that you think I like that but . . . I'd like different colors, a different focal or theme, longer, shorter, I'd like it as a bracelet as a necklace as a belly chain or anklet, I need a piece to coordinate for a costume party, special event, I would like it to have sentimental value such as birthstone colors, dates, etc. send the artist an email and ask them if they can make the adjustments. It you have an idea that you'd like them to create for you just ask. The results will be uniquely yours.

You can view some of my creations at , and I'm happy to bring your ideas to life.
