Image Description
This beautiful, colorful and fun Butterfly Card is Hand Made by my daughter #2. The quilled paper, curled and glued together, is multiple shades of purples and blues, including a quilled aqua butterfly body. The greeting card is blank inside, and the outside is a pink and purple color weave pattern. This card comes with a white envelope. I'm a proud Mom showing off my daughter #2's talents. Her cards are awesome! All her cards come in a sealed clear plastic envelope for protection. The paper is wound around a thin tool to create a basic coil shape. The paper is then glued at the tip and these shaped coils are arranged to form flowers, leaves, and various ornamental patterns. It is used to decorate wedding invitations, birth announcements, greeting cards, scrapbook pages, and boxes. Ever since my children were old enough to hold a crayon in their hand I have always stressed the importance of being thankful to others, especially for gifts given, and have encouraged expressing that thankfulness through the making of home made cards. It is pretty much automatic for them now. With all those years of practice my girls have become pretty adept and creative, as well as so efficient that I often don't even get the chance to see their creation before they have popped it into the mailbox.
