Get to Know

Several years ago I had a small box of stained glass supplies left with me and was told to throw them away. Being a person who hates to throw anything away I thought I'd take a chance and take a few stained glass lessons. After four lessons, I turned my garden shed into a workshop and have never looked back. My wonderful husband did the needed renovations to the shed to transform it into a nice studio. He made all the frames for my stained glass pieces as woodworking was his hobby. So on the weekends when I worked in my studio, he was in his shop and during the day we shared a soft drink between the two shops under the dogwood tree with our english springer spaniel and cats. Stained glass has become my passion and obsession. As of September, 09 I now teach stained glass basics on an hourly basis one-on-one.
In July, 2010 my best friend/husband passed away completing 3/4 of a larger wonderful studio. On September 27th I had the first new student in the new studio which I had completed in my husband's honor. It would have never happened without him and it will never be the same now that he is gone. He will always be deeply missed.
In October, 2010 I will be teaching Adult Education Stained Glass Classes in Richmond Hill, Ga.using bevels. This will be fun for all!
