1930s Vintage Style Beach Pajamas
1930 beach or lounge pajamas
This is a vintage reproduction
In case you hadn't noticed I am obsessed with beach pajamas. I scour around looking for photos of original loungers to copy and these were one of my favorites I've found so far.
These are a great alternative to sweat pants for the vintage inspired crowd.
Laying around on a lazy Sunday morning or just slip into them after work for hanging out at the house.
Although these can be customized to your own tastes, in this listing you will receive these exact pajamas.
i have had the 1930s wide awning stripe chambray for a long time and I was lucky enough to come by a whole roll of it. So it's still available for me to make these for you just like shown except for the buttons, we will have to choose something else, those were the only ones I had. I chose to cut the bust in the bias and position the pieces in a chevron stripe to contrast with the the long vertical stripe on the leg. Those long stripes make it look like your legs go on for days! The inside bodice is lined with feedsack material and these close with a back metal zip. The toggle on the pocket is Bakelite. Not sure of the composition of the strap buttons but I love the large triangle deco detail.
These measure 34" at the bust, 28.5" at the waist and 40 around the hip. Total length from top of the shoulder strap to hem is 57"
If you would like these made just for you ( they wouldn't be exactly the same of course), check out my shop or give me a shout through the contact me button or on Facebook. The price on this listing reflects the fact that these are sales samples using my stashed fabric. Additional costs may incur.
Check out my photo set of fabrics. Please remember that my fabric stash is always changing. Check to see if your choice is still available. But if you don't see what you were looking for give me a shout. Chances are I may already have it, have it on order, or can get it in a jiffy. I place 1 or 2 fabric orders a week.
Why be a cookie cutter - let me make you a wonderful one of a kind custom garment
ALL SIZES AVAILABLE but not every style lends itself to every body type. If you are unsure if this style will fit your frame, ask me. We may be able to come up with a plan and make alterations so it will fit your body type.
I can make these in either a monotone or 2 tone style with a contrasting or matching solid and print fabric.
When at all possible I strive to use vintage buttons, buckles, zippers, notions and snaps on all my garments, so some differences in fabrics and options could change depending on availability of materials.

I currently ship via First Class post to countries other than the United States in order to save you money. You are still able to track your parcel through the customs number which i can provide for you upon request. Currently paypal does not provide you with that customs number automatically as it does the priority or express tracking information.
Typical time in transit ranges from 15 days up to 4 weeks depending on the destination country. This may take longer in peak holiday seasons.
I will ship via priority or express international upon request. Convo me for a quote (or check out USPS.com for rates) and I will bill you for the difference in shipping. All domestic parcels are shipped via USPS Priority 2-3 day service.
For your protection and mine, i only accept Paypal.
Once i've received your measurements and we've talked about and agreed on a fabric or fabrics and determined a final price, I will either make you a reserved listing or send an invoice. Payment is due at the time of invoice or listing unless other terms have been agreed upon. Once final payment has been received I will add your name to my reserve list. I work on a first-come, first-made basis. So once you are all paid up, I put your name in the rotation. Currently I am working approximately 4-6 weeks out on orders. Sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less. But pretty much close to that 4-6 weeks. That doesn't include shipping time. If you need it sooner, maybe we can work something out. Convo me and we'll talk. There will be an up charge of 15% for rush orders.
In special cases i've been known to do a layaway/time payment plan. Ask me first and if i'm able to accommodate you, I will work with you to set something up.
I only ask that you keep track of the payments yourself and let me know when you've made your last payment including shipping. I'll check after the last payment is made to double check our math. But please don't ask me to make or ship something before you are finished paying, I just won't do it.
Since your new garment(s) are custom made just for you, I can't and won't issue a refund if you have had a change of heart, made mistakes in measuring or for any other reason except in the case of loss or damage by the post office provided you have purchased insurance.
If you measure correctly, the garment should fit without a problem. Occasionally a vintage pattern will run slightly small or large. If after we determine that the measurements you have taken are correct and the garment is still a little off, I will gladly make alterations at no charge if you send it back.
Occasionally the post office does lose a package - I know..I know, the government loses something...I can't believe it :/
My shipping quote does not include insurance, so if you decide that you definitely want insurance I will get a quote from the post office and invoice you for the exact amount. If you don't have insurance and the package gets lost, I will be happy to work with you to make another garment but there isn't any way i can or will absorb the entire cost of the loss. Its entirely up to you to decide if you want insurance to cover the cost of the garment or not.
Please see my Shipping Policy for details on domestic and International shipping and cost.
