Covered Wagon Series - Betsey - Stump Doll #357
Second in my covered wagon series of prairie dolls, is Betsey. She represents Elizabeth "Betsey" Bayley who crossed from Ohio to Oregon across the Great Plains in 1845.
She is made of grungy cotton and has a grubby bonnet and a homespun dress. Crudely stitched across the bottom of the dress is "Betsey". She is a stump doll, so she has no arms or legs. She comes with a short biography on old paper and a rusty pin that you can pin either to the front or back of her dress. She is 10" tall.
All my dolls are handmade, each one is unique. The pictures are a representation, the actual dolls may differ. The aging, color, grunging and fabric may be different than the current pictures.
