Did you know that a wooden slotted spatula is the safest thing you can use on Teflon or any other pan for that matter? They drain off unwanted oils and will not leave unnatural chemicals on your food.
You can extend the life of your pans by using a wooden spatula. This maple slotted spatula is perfect for stir frying or sauteing. The gently curved handle of these spatulas make it easy to stir, fold and drain ALL the food in your pan, very easily, with style!

Hand crafted of one piece of hand selected Maple and finished with my food safe blend of mineral oil and beeswax I call Board Balm. 12" long, 2" at the widest with a silky smooth handle that feels great in your hand. Care instructions included.

Inspiration/Story Behind This Product

I do most of the cooking in our household and have always reached my old wooden cooking tools first. One day after cleaning up my shop & trying to figure out where to store all the short pieces of hardwood that seem to multiply on their own every night I went in to start dinner & really looked at the old spatula I was using. It was looking pretty beat up after many years of faithful service. After dinner I collected most of my wooden cooking tools & went back out to the shop. Most of them had straight handles, either squared off or round. I realized I really liked the one that had a wider, more rounded handle. Then I looked at the various blade ends & chose the ones I reached for most often. This slotted spatula took a few tries till I came up with this really efficient design.
