Upcycled Denim Messenger Bag, Hawaiian Motif, Island Vibe

This bag is a stunner with an island vibe! A one-of-a-kind messenger bag that has it all! Perfect for carrying books, papers, laptop, etc. Using the vintage lining fabric as my inspiration, I designed it with 6 repurposed, denim pockets. Five pockets on the exterior and one inside. The two pockets on the flap have closures to keep items safe. Four other pockets are open for quick access (Two on inside, front, one on the back and one inside) This bag is well constructed and pieced together with medium blue denim and is loaded with vintage appliques, vintage stitching and trim with colorful accents. The details on the embroidered pockets are wonderful, and the sequin appliques were an unbelievable vintage find! The bag’s shoulder strap is made of denim and is 50” long maximum and can be shortened to 26” minimum to custom fit users. Inside the roomy bag is one of the previously mentioned denim pockets on one side, and on the other side is a full-length pocket with a built-in, full-length zipper, perfect for papers or to keep a laptop secure. The inside lining is a vintage cotton, hand made block print in a Hawaiian motif. A metal key fob is sewn inside. All hardware is metal and/or heavy-duty plastic. This bag is durable, and can be washed, although hand washing in mild detergent and air drying is recommended to preserve the elaborate ornamentation. Do not machine wash or dry. So very unique, I am confident this purchase will not disappoint you! I have been making these one-of-a-kind items for years and they sell out quickly at my craft fair booths.
