Beaded Grey Mohair Shrug size Med

There are over 400 pearlescent beads worked into the fabric of this dark grey mohair shrug. Every time a bead is added, one hook is dropped, a bead is loaded onto a tiny hook, the stitch is pulled through the bead, and the bigger hook picked up again. Then a single crochet and a shell, and back to the bead again. But the fabric is so beautiful, it certainly is worth it. What IS disappointing, however, is that the pictures are, as usual, not doing it justice.



This is a blended yarn with mohair. Moths as a rule do not like mohair, which is one reason it is so prized. I can't tell what is blended with the mohair, but this does have an animal content. It is designer yarn from that un-named source of mine. The hairs that spin off the yarn are lighter in color than the main body of the yarn. The white pearly beads look almost like black pearls because of the shadowplay.



The shrug is sized medium. Size 12- 14. It is 26" under the arms from side to side. It has full length sleeves, and 3 buttons up the front made with the same materials.



The front slopes down into the back, and there is a vintage style point at the center back. Very very classy.
