Decorative Alaska-themed polymer clay-covered bottle
This item is an empty wine bottle that I covered with a scene of a log cabin in the woods, sculpted in polymer clay. The scene wraps around the entire bottle, and includes, in addition to the cabin with sweet red and white curtains, a back yard with a log pile, a chopping block with axe, and a path to the outhouse. The trees around the cabin include birch and spruce, and there are wild rose bushes and iris in bloom.
Behind the cabin, low green foothills give way to majestic, snow-covered mountains. It is a lovely partly cloudy spring day with a gorgeous blue sky.
I stabilized the bottle with a little base made of scrap clay and covered with the matching "grass."
The top of the bottle is open, and could accept a candle or oil-lamp insert.
