Vintage Chinese Carnelian Bead Necklace, Vintage 1970s Red Cloisonne Bead ,Vintage Chinese Yellow Jade,Vintage Japanese yellow tulips
Vintage Carnelian stone beads,Vintage Chinese yellow jade beads,Vintage German faceted pressed glass beads, Vintage 1970s Chinese cloisonne beads,Vintage Japanese lucite tulip beads
Vintage 1970s Chinese 14mm ( approx. 5/8" ! ) carnelian beads make up the framework of this hand knotted necklace which was sold under my company name " Beadles" during the early 1980s.
◉ This necklace was available in the Smithsonian's Sackler Gallery museum shop back then which is the Smithsonian's Asian museum.
► All the stone beads which I use were personally selected by me in Hong Kong during the 1970s-1980s when the standards of cutting were meticulous. Nowadays, stone beads are being cut and imported from India where the labor is cheap, the beads are not always perfectly round, nor do they have an even polish and many times they are not even drilled all the way through . You can see the gorgeous polish on these carnelian beads in all my photos.
Lovely butterscotch muted yellow Chinese jade beads in a 10mm size ( approx. 3/8" ) add a pop of subtle color as do the incredible vintage Japanese 1970s lucite tulips that actually have a gorgeous iridescence to them ! Each tulip bead is approximately 1/2" long.
I found these unique beads in London on Portobello Rd. -the antique district - during a buying trip in the late 1970s and I have never come across such beads since.
Vintage Chinese 1970s cloisonne beads in an unusual abacus shape ( and in 2 different sizes ) have also been added - the color of which is a perfect match to the carnelian beads.
◉Vintage cloisonne from the 1970s is quite collectible and sought after as the workmanship is superb and much more detailed than what is currently being exported from China.
This color of cloisonne in particular is VERY rare and I was only able one time to purchase this color while in Hong Kong during the late 1970s.
I have dyed the silk cord a brick red color to match the carnelian beads
This necklace is approximately 30" long and will arrive in a vintage Chinese embroidered silk brocade purse all ready for gift giving.

Love my beads! The coloring in the epidote was not as intense as illustrated, but it is certainly a good example of the mineral. The colors in the unakite beads are wonderful. The quality of the carving I would rate as good to excellent.
Nice beads!! Super fast thanks a lot!!!
I have dreamed of having a necklace such as the jade one. But the red one. That was a surprise. Both are beautiful. Thank you! Best, Jane
Lovely color;!interesting stones.
When I thought that I had ordered two of these and then checked out I had to order another set. The seller was very kind and combined my two orders and refunded my shipping.
