An earthy, casual pendant with real distinction! Crystal-clear natural quartz, with natural inclusions of chlorite, tumble-polished smooth and drilled at the top for suspension in a pendant. Also, atop that, an 8mm (1/3") round bead cut of natural tourmaline - cloudy-clear, not the colorful kind we're used to seeing; a perfect accent for the unusual quartz stone below it. These are hand-wrapped and hung inside a handwoven arch of oxidized copper, cascading gracefully down both sides. The quartz is smoother on one side, with the chlorite inclusions being concentrated in the other side of the stone, but it's shiny and nice-looking worn either side up; the wire-weaving is nearly identical on either side.

The pendant measures 78mm (approx. 3") high including the bail, by 45mm (1+4/5") wide; the polished quartz is 29mm (1+1/6") high x 20mm (4/5") wide x 15mm (3/5") thick. It's all hung on a solid copper ball chain of 62+1/2cm (24+3/5") in length and 3.2mm (approx. 1/8") in girth. A second connector can be included, if you wish to vary the length according to your outfits.

This comes gift-wrapped in a brown kraft box bearing my brand label, with cotton box filler and designer tissue imprinted with pen-and-ink dragonfly images, and black raffia-style glossy ribbon. The ribbon will be loosely tied, so that you may inspect your purchase before presenting as a gift.

One-of-a-kind; this piece was handmade by me in my home studio, here in the Yolla Bolly Wilderness area, in the east-facing foothills of the Mendocino mountains in northern California.

I take deep pride in my work; each piece is infused with its own personality by the time I've finished it, even if it bears some similarity to another I've made earlier. Because these creations have life for me, I will gladly repair anything untoward that may happen to it in the normal course of wearing.
