DREAM GLYPHS, Gourd Bowl, Native Inspired Pictographs

“Dream Glyphs” is a wonderful gourd bowl featuring a dream rendition of Native American pictographs and petroglyphs enhanced with metallic paints and pyroengraved areas reminiscent of mountains and hills. The bowl measures 6” x 7”. It would be a great addition to complement to Southwest or Contemporary décor.
After cleaning the outside of the dried gourd, a very time consuming process, the rim was cut with a mini jig saw. Then the inside, which is filled with membranes and seeds, was cleaned with a ball cleaner and drill. Hand sanding finished the interior job and then I sprayed the interior with a paint sealer. The design was hand drawn and pyroengraved onto the surface. The designs were then dyed with ink dyes and acrylic paints. Additional pyroengraving was added to enhance the effect of mountains and rocky crags.
Dream Glyphs is a perfect accent piece for your home. The stylized pictographs with bright, metallic colors put an emphasis on how cultural aspects of the Southwest might appear in a world of dreams. Please dust with a soft cloth or duster.

Jewelry - Jewelry is packaged in little colored organza drawstring bags, which are then folded into tissue, tied with raffia and shipped in a bubble mailer.
Gourd Art - Gourd art pieces are wrapped in tissue and surrounded with bubble wrap for maximum stability. They are shipped in sturdy boxes to your destination.
