RIM VIEW, "Warty" Gourd w/Perched Polymer Lizard
Details
This whimsical gourd, “Rim View”, is a contemporary Southwest gourd vessel that would be a fun addition to your home. The piece measures 7.5” x 6.5”. You could add dried stems or flowers of your liking to enhance the functionality of the piece.
After cleaning the outside of the dried gourd, a very time consuming process, the rim was cut with a mini jig saw. Then the inside, which is filled with membranes and seeds, was cleaned with a ball cleaner and drill. Hand sanding finished the interior job and then I sprayed the interior with a paint sealer. The outside of the gourd was then dyed with ink dyes and the ‘warts’ enhanced with a shimmer technique. Several coats of sealing spray were applied to protect the beauty of the gourd for years to come. The jaunty lizard was attached securely to the rim.

Jewelry - Jewelry is packaged in little colored organza drawstring bags, which are then folded into tissue, tied with raffia and shipped in a bubble mailer.
Gourd Art - Gourd art pieces are wrapped in tissue and surrounded with bubble wrap for maximum stability. They are shipped in sturdy boxes to your destination.
