1950 Cub Scouts Strengthen the Arm of Liberty Nerchief Slide

In 1950 the Cub Scouts issued this rare slide to commomerate the 40th anniversary of Scouting Strengthen the Arm of Liberty. As service projects, scouts raised funds that commissioned hundreds of the 8 1/2 foot tall replicas of the Statue of Liberty to be given to various towns and businesses. The boy scouts got pins, the cub scouts got neckerchief slides. There were 200 made.These are copper plated or solid copper - I'm not sure. The patina is absolutely wonderful. No dents, scratches, etc. I just wiped off with a cloth. Measures 2" high and 1 1/2" wide. #257
