Lampworking Flower Beads Tut 102: Secrets of How to Think Sculpturally

In this tutorial you will learn lampworking techniques to make 2 flower beads: 'Puffy Flowers' and 'Floating Flowers'. You will also learn all about components of color theory such as :

o Hue
o Intensity of colors
o Color Value
o Warm and Cool colors (color temperature)

Then I will show examples of how to use each of these art elements when designing glass lampwork beads. You will do experiments to help you understand this knowledge and incorporate this color theory into your beads. This artistic information is necessary when creating fine art beads.

Combining what we learned in Lampworking 101 tutorial with new lampworking techniques, we will make 2 fabulous sculptural flowers on a bead.

In 'Puffy Flowers', we will be working with creating different heights and sizes of flowers. This flower tutorial will get you thinking sculpturally and designing flower patterns on a bead. These lampworking techniques are the foundation for many sculptural flowers I make.

In 'Floating Flowers', we will leave the surface of the bead to make some of the flowers. When you master this flower bead, you will understand how work 3-D with sculptural flowers.

Tutorial 102 will prepare you to think sculptural. I use these techniques that I am sharing in this tutorial in most of my sculptural flowers. I always work on the surface of a bead and above it as I create my flowers.
