Vintage Austria Amethyst Purple Rhinestone Butterfly Brooch Pin
Vintage Austria Amethyst Purple Rhinestone Butterfly Brooch Pin is a stunner! Although Schreiner is often linked to Austrian design, there was no direct link. This is covered with visual examples of the same design side by side in the book Schreiner: Masters of Twentieth Century Costume Jewelry by Carole Tanenbaum and Eve Townsend. Nonetheless, the similar attributes of Schreiner construction exist in this piece of Austrian design. So although neither Schreiner nor attributed to Schreiner, the same Schreiner construction attributes exist. The pin is designed in a japanned setting with an array of amethyst purples in navettes and chatons that are all prong set. The quality of work and construction of this pin is amazing. Excellent condition, the brooch pin measures 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" and weighs 39 grams. This is a wonderful piece perfect for your wardrobe or for the vintage jewelry collector. (G-082117-#1)

This jewelry comes from a dear friend and a truly exceptional lady. While having an antique shop, she has collected these fine designer pieces for the last 40 years and has an incredibly discerning eye for quality as well as unique and special pieces. The extensive nature of her collection has meant that she has not worn most pieces more than once.
It is my distinct pleasure that she has chosen to pass her extensive collection on to me. I know that I will be keeping some special pieces for myself and will also be offering many pieces in store as well. Please know that with each piece comes a wonderful legacy of a very special lady that makes this jewelry all the more special.
