Heathcote Art Deco Bone China Cream Sugar Set
Beautiful Heathcote Bone China cream and sugar set with Oriental scenary. Amazing colours of the era and marked by H M Williamson and Sons dating the set to the early20th century circa 1920 - 1939.
The landscape scene is a woman under her parasol/umbrella on a bridge as a junk boat sails past. Nearby is a house and you can almost imagine her enjoying the peace and tranquility of her lakeside retreat.
Very good for its age with just some degradation to the gold gilt especially on the rim of the sugar dish and on the cream jug handle. No cracks, chips, crazing. The colors are stil vibrant - blues, greens, reds, golds.
Sugar Bowl: just over 5in (13cms) width aat the top tapering down to 3in (7.5) at the base. Height is almost 3in (7.5cms)
Cream jug stands just shy of 4in (9.5cms)
Made in England, Heathcote China, Best Bone
Pattern numbers I think read: 5943 on the bowl and 5910 on the jug
